The City of Naples' call for proposals to celebrate the 2500th anniversary of the founding of ancient Neapolis attracted an incredible response, with over 350 project proposals for the first NAPOLI Fringe Festival. This multidisciplinary event draws inspiration from the Edinburgh celebrations of the 50s, which showcased emerging artists alongside established names.

The NAPOLI Fringe Festival, which will take place from April 17 to May 14 and culminate in December 2025, includes a series of events throughout the city.

Artistic Director Laura Valente emphasized the initiative's unexpected success, with creative networks, including international artists, eager to participate thanks to Naples' attraction. The intention is to make the Fringe Festival a regular cultural event through collaboration with the Fringe Festivals of Milan and Turin. Teresa Armato, Councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities, also expressed satisfaction with the response received, reaffirming the City's commitment to promoting the best proposals for the festivities. The detailed program will be announced by March.
