During an inspection on Via Ausilio, in the area of Naples' former fruit and vegetable market, the White Helmets found a mongrel dog in precarious conditions.
The animal was confined in a small room, characterized by poor hygienic and sanitary conditions and sealed by a metal net, located inside a structure in a complete state of abandonment.
The operators of the Animal Protection Operational Unit (Uotp) promptly requested the intervention of the veterinary staff of the ASL Napoli 1. The vets removed the dog, proceeding to apply a microchip for identification and transferring it to a suitable facility, where it will receive the necessary care.
The facility where the animal was located is reportedly in dilapidated condition, suggesting further enforcement efforts in the area may be needed.

and it's a little sad to see that there are animals in these conditions, but it's good that the white helmets intervened. I hope that the dog can receive the care he needs and find a family that will take him in.
