The extraordinary services of the Naples Police Headquarters continue without interruption, aimed at strengthening control of the territory and combating drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
In recent days, law enforcement has recorded significant results, with two arrests for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing and numerous checks carried out in various areas of the city.
Checks in Sant'Anastasia and Frattamaggiore
On Friday afternoon, officers from the Ponticelli Police Station, together with the Carabinieri and the Local Police, conducted an extraordinary operation in Sant'Anastasia. During the operation, 27 people were identified, 15 vehicles were checked and 3 commercial establishments were inspected. 7 fines were also issued for violations of the Highway Code.
Yesterday, the Frattamaggiore Police Station, in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police, carried out another blitz in the municipal territory. 127 people were identified, 34 of whom had criminal records, and 67 vehicles were checked, with 4 administrative seizures and 2 suspensions from circulation.
The violations of the Highway Code contested were 10, for a total of 4.315 euros in fines. In addition, 17 individuals subjected to restrictive measures or alternatives to detention were checked, and one individual was reported for fraud.
The two arrests for drug dealing
Yesterday evening, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station arrested a 36-year-old Neapolitan, already known to law enforcement, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The man was caught while selling drugs to another individual in Vicoletto Gabella della Farina. At the sight of the officers, the suspect attempted to flee, but was stopped and found in possession of 3 packages of crack and 170 euros in cash. On the stairs where he was sitting, 3 more packages of the same substance were found, for a total of about one gram.
Last night, another arrest marked the work of the State Police. The officers of the San Paolo Police Station stopped a 22-year-old from Quarto, also with a criminal record, found in possession of 8 packages of cocaine and 440 euros.
Subsequently, during a house search, 35 more packages of cocaine (about 29 grams), a precision scale and 2 magnetic cards with traces of the narcotic substance were discovered. In this case too, the suspect was arrested.
