Naples – Police raid late yesterday evening in Barra, where a thief was arrested after being caught stealing panels from the ASL headquarters.
He is a 55-year-old Neapolitan, already known to the police for previous criminal convictions, and ended up in handcuffs on charges of aggravated theft.
The operation, swift and effective, was launched in via Pasquale Ciccarelli, at the headquarters of the ASL Napoli Est, the scene of yet another criminal episode.
The officers of the San Giovanni-Barra and Ponticelli police stations were set in motion by a report received by the Operations Room during a routine patrol.
Arriving on the scene in record time, the police surprised the criminal while he was attempting a daring escape through the construction scaffolding erected near the structure. But the plan failed: the man was caught and immobilized with no escape.
The rapid investigations of the officers reconstructed the dynamics: the 55-year-old, armed with an iron tool, had forced the service gate at the back of the building, entering the area of theASL.
He had already taken away some panels
Here he had his hands on several metal panels of scaffolding, which he had already stacked outside, ready to make them disappear. A planned coup, but interrupted at birth by the intervention of the police.
There was no escape for the serial thief: the officers declared him under arrest, putting an end to his raid. A hard blow to local petty crime, in an area already under the watchful eye of the Police.

The article talks about a thief who was arrested in Naples, but I don't understand how it is possible that certain people continue to commit thefts. There should be more controls to prevent these episodes and protect the community.
