Naples – The Camorra group in the Fuorigrotta area that extorted money from traders and sellers of fireworks has been dismantled.
The Carabinieri of the Bagnoli company have in fact started an operation since the early hours of today, executing a precautionary custody order. The measure, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, concerns six men.
The raid and the accusations
The suspects are accused of complicity in extortion aggravated by mafia methods. The extortion activities were allegedly perpetrated in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood, targeting Street vendors of fireworks.
The investigations are the result of careful investigative activity, coordinated by the DDA of Naples, aimed at countering the phenomenon of extortion that afflicts traders and small entrepreneurs in various areas of the city.
