Alex Meret will continue to defend Napoli's goal: the goalkeeper has reached an agreement to renew his contract until 2027, with an option to extend for another season. The official signature is expected in the next few days, thus putting an end to the uncertainties about the future of the Azzurri goalkeeper.
The club's attention is now shifting to the offensive department. After the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain, the management is working to find a replacement worthy of the Georgian talent. Among the profiles being followed with greatest interest are Edon Zhegrova, a winger from Lille, and Igor Paixão, currently playing for Feyenoord.
Both are considered suitable to collect Kvara's technical legacy, thanks to their offensive characteristics and game vision. Napoli's goal is to close the operation early in view of next season, to allow the new addition to settle in and integrate quickly into the mechanisms of Conte's team.
