The prefect of Naples, Michele of Bari, issued six anti-mafia interdictions against various companies in the sectors of furniture, retail trade of fish products and sale of household appliances.

The companies involved are located in the municipalities of Casandrino and Naples. This measure was implemented to counter mafia infiltration in the local economy.

The Prefecture's initiative is aimed at protecting economic public order from attempts at contamination by criminal organizations, promoting greater transparency and fair competition between businesses.

These actions aim to ensure a free market and a well-functioning public administration.

The measures adopted by the prefect of Naples seem to me to be an important step in fighting the mafia, but there are doubts about how these bans actually work and whether they really help honest companies to prosper.
