The prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has issued six anti-mafia bans against various companies in the furniture, retail fish products and household appliance sectors.
The companies involved are located in the municipalities of Casandrino and Naples. This measure was implemented to counter mafia infiltration in the local economy.
The Prefecture's initiative is aimed at protecting economic public order from attempts at contamination by criminal organizations, promoting greater transparency and fair competition between businesses.
These actions aim to ensure a free market and a well-functioning public administration.

The measures adopted by the prefect of Naples seem to me to be an important step in fighting the mafia, but there are doubts about how these bans actually work and whether they really help honest companies to prosper.
