An illegally occupied 19th-century chapel in the heart of Chiaia has been returned to the city after an intervention by law enforcement.
The agents ofOperational Unit for the Protection of Buildings and Heritage of the Local Police of Naples They performed it this morning forced eviction orof the property, inhabited by a woman already investigated for a series of crimes including damage to cultural heritage property, violation of seals and building violations.
The operation, ordered by the Prosecutor's Office of Naples, saw the collaboration of the agents of the Chiaia Operational Unit, of the San Ferdinando Police Station and Municipality Logistics ServiceThe woman, who had already received previous release orders, had not complied with the orders, making it necessary for the authorities to intervene.
The entrances have been sealed to prevent further occupation.
At the end of the operations, the building was permanently sealed, with the closure of accesses to avoid a new one occupation. The documents relating to the investigation have been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office, which will now evaluate the further initiatives to take against the woman.
