This morning, chaired by the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, a meeting was held on the issue connected to the functionality of maritime transport between the islands of Ischia and Procida and the ports of Naples and Pozzuoli, following recent bradyseismic events.
Representatives of the Campania Region, the Mayors of the Municipalities of Pozzuoli and Bacoli, representatives of the Metropolitan City, of the Extraordinary Government Commissioner for the implementation of public interventions in the Campi Flegrei area, of the Port Authorities of Naples and Pozzuoli as well as those of the Caremar Shipping Company participated.
The issue of the difficulties connected to docking due to the raising of the docks of the port of Pozzuoli, due to the ongoing bradyseismic phenomenon, which makes embarkation and disembarkation difficult, especially for heavy vehicles, with consequent problems for some supplies and for the access of larger tourist buses, was examined in depth.
It was agreed to carry out the necessary technical investigations within the permanent table dedicated to the Campi Flegrei, established at the prefecture. The representative of the Campania Region announced that the installation of a pontoon has been planned to facilitate port activities and that maximum efforts are being made to accelerate the works for the implementation of the aforementioned infrastructure.
The prefect reiterated the utmost attention to the issue by the dedicated permanent table that will continue its meetings periodically, in order to make the necessary updates.

It is important to talk about these issues, but I think they should also consider other options to improve the situation. Difficulties with transportation are a serious problem for citizens and tourists.
I agree with Cesidia, the islands need a quick and effective solution. It is essential that the authorities act promptly to avoid further inconvenience to the population.
