Naples - a police blitz last night led to the seizure of a whole swathe of contraband cigarettes and the arrest of a woman who was keeping "blondes" in her house
In particular, the agents of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office, raided a house in vico Martiri d'Otranto, after having carried out a stakeout and noticed a strange succession of people. The suspicion that there was something shady in that house turned out to be true.
And in fact the agents found 4697 packs of cigarettes without the state monopoly labels, for a total weight of approximately 940 kg, and 450 euros, divided into banknotes of various denominations.
For these reasons, the woman was arrested and locked up in prison on charges of smuggling.
