Naples – The premises adjacent to the Church of Jesus and Mary in Piazza Eritrea in Naples had been placed under seizure because they were being used as homes by illegal squatters.
However, the seals have been removed several times by individuals linked, as reported by residents of the area who turned to the Green-Left alliance deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, to the Frizziero della Torretta clan who have returned to illegally occupy the church: "In recent weeks the condominium owners have reported the incident to the relevant authorities, the Municipal Police, the State Police, the Carabinieri - say residents of the area - and the church was seized but those individuals tampered with the seals 5 times.
Recently they had a van come and take away all the goods that were left in the premises."
“As we did for the former rectory of the Church of San Biagio ai Taffettanari, illegally occupied by individuals linked to the Macor clan of Pizzofalcone, we will ask for tough, decisive and decisive interventions – declares Borrelli – The clans increasingly appropriate public goods, seize historical heritage and feel like the undisputed masters of the territory.
This is because it has been allowed to happen for too long. Times must change and with them the mentality of those who for years have defended and fomented the Camorra culture in the city's neighborhoods. In the face of this violence and arrogance, we will not retreat one step."
