Naples - Moments of fear this night in Vomero due to yet another sinkhole that opened up in the street.
It happened in via Scarlatti: the hole, about 2 meters deep, caused the interruption of the water supply in the area. A garbage truck got stuck.
Civil Protection and ABC Napoli technicians are already working to identify the causes and resolve the problem as quickly as possible. On site are Europa Verde municipal councilors Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti.
“It's yet another one chasm which opens in the hilly area – declares the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli with Nasti and Bonetti – we are extremely concerned and we ask for in-depth monitoring of the areas of the Vomero which are increasingly exposed to these episodes.
We must drastically reduce the stresses that reach the subsoil, which must be monitored and protected to avoid tragedies and catastrophes".

It is truly incredible that this situation continues to occur in Vomero. Citizen safety must be a priority. I hope that the authorities will intervene quickly to resolve this problem and prevent further incidents in the future.
