Jesi - A tragic road accident cost the life of a 50-year-old man, Carmine Napolitano, yesterday evening, along the provincial road 362 Jesina.
The accident occurred around 19:30 PM, on a poorly lit stretch of Via Minonna, just outside the town center.

According to initial reports, the man, a worker at CNH Industrial in Jesi and originally from Casalnuovo di Napoli, was walking along the road toward Santa Maria Nuova when he was struck by a Toyota Yaris driven by a middle-aged woman. The impact was fatal, and the man died instantly.
Law enforcement officers who responded to the scene of the accident are still investigating to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. Initial investigations indicate that the man was walking unsteadily on the road at the time of the impact. The driver of the vehicle was tested for alcohol and drugs, which were negative.
