Naples – “Pavilion G, closed since 2011, reopens with a record because it was renovated, it was basically a skeleton, in 340 days and we are particularly proud of this. There are 35 clinics, two small surgical rooms, there are the Cups, the information desk services”.
Antonio d'Amore, general manager of Aorn, said this Cardarelli of Naples, on the sidelines of the inauguration in the presence of the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, of the new Pavilion G, home of the Cardarelli Outpatient Clinic.
It will host all the activities carried out so far at the Palermo Pavilion but in larger and more comfortable spaces, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, with 35 clinics dedicated to 25 different specialties. Pavilion G is spread over 4 levels and has a total surface area of 3.520m880, XNUMXmXNUMX per floor (basement, ground, first, second floor).
The intervention has foreseen an economic framework investment of 5 million 600 thousand euros. Twenty-five disciplines will be hosted: emergency surgery, orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology (instrumental tests and speech therapy), endocrinology, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, dermatology (first visits, dressings, skin tumors, phototherapy), cardiology, infectious diseases, rheumatology, dietetics, emergency medicine (thrombosis center), surgery (pelvic floor pathologies), clinical psychology service, neurology (headache center, cerebrovascular neurology), neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, nephrology, urology, immunology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation.
"We have received - explained d'Amore - 50 million euros of development and cohesion funds from the Campania Region, plus other funding that came from the former article 20 that we have restarted after there was a seizure of the judiciary for infiltration for about 6 years. So it is a great job that we are continuing to develop to give ever greater answers to what are the requests of the citizens".
During the day, the structural transformation projects underway in the hospital were also illustrated: Pavilion 22 beds (1.890 m12,6, 2026 million euro investment, delivery 390), First Musculoskeletal Tissue Bank of Southern Italy (2,5 m2025, 50 million euro investment, delivery August 2,8), Overhead tunnel connecting Pavilions DEA/C/B/E – Renovation of Pavilion E, seismic adaptation of Pavilion F (FSE-Campania Region Funds 2025 million euro), Renovation of Monumental Pavilion (20 million investment, delivery December XNUMX), Renovation of Pavilions B and C (funds pursuant to art. XNUMX).

It is good that Pavilion G has been reopened after so many years, but I do not understand why there were problems with the judiciary. Let's hope that now the services are more efficient for all the citizens of Naples.
