A day of art and culture is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory, as part of the event “Conservatory Concerts 2025”. The initiative will see the participation of Peppe Barra, a prominent actor and singer, who will take part in a series of events at the Sala Scarlatti, the place where he was noticed by Eduardo De Filippo in 1972.
Meeting with the students
The event will begin with a meeting between Barra and the students of the Conservatory. During the session, the artist will share his experiences in fusing theater and music, offering students an insight into his artistic memories and his theatrical training.
Lifetime Achievement Award
At 18.00:XNUMX p.m., the Conservatory will award Peppe Barra the “San Pietro a Majella” Prize, an award already given to important personalities such as Aldo Ciccolini and Placido Domingo. The ceremony will be presided over by Carla Ciccarelli, President of the Conservatory, and by the Director Gaetano Panariello, in honor of Barra’s significant career.
Show “It's all a carnival”
The day will end with the show “È tutto un carnevale”. The San Pietro a Majella Youth Ensemble, under the direction of Mariano Patti, will accompany Peppe Barra in the interpretation of “Il carnevale degli animali” by Camille Saint-Saens. Barra will add a unique dimension, reciting fables of his own writing among the fourteen pieces of the work, mixing theater and classical music with personally inspired stories.
