Pozzuoli – “The school closed due to carbon dioxide levels above the threshold, is the responsibility of the metropolitan city, in a risk area in the mapping of the Vesuvian Observatory.
It is a very long structure, and only in the gym and in the corridor leading to the gym was the CO2 limit slightly exceeded, while it was below in all the other rooms on the same floor.
We thought it appropriate, together with the firefighters and the metropolitan city, to close the institute and already tomorrow the metropolitan city will deploy all the tools provided for in the ordinances".
The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, explained. And then he added: “On Monday and Tuesday, lessons would not have been held anyway, since they were Carnival holidays, but I, in my capacity as the highest security authority in the area, thought it appropriate to close the institute and carry out further inspections”.
"In the meantime, checks have been carried out on the schools reported in the red zone, all with negative results. Due to excessive zeal - he concluded - private schools, not foreseen in the original plans, and two outside the most critical area will also be checked".

the news of the school closure in Pozzuoli is very important, but I don't understand why only that gym was closed, if there were only a few exceedances. I hope the situation for the students will be resolved soon.
