Second hearing, this morning, of the trial against Franco Alfieri, former president of the Province of Salerno and former mayor of Capaccio Paestum, who is under house arrest, and five other people.
The trial arose from the investigation of the Salerno prosecutor's office which hypothesizes, in various capacities, crimes of corruption and disturbed freedom of auctions
. The judges of the Court of Salerno have postponed the next hearing to April 24, as requested by the lawyers, pending the filing of the reasons for the provision with which, last February 14, it had rejected the request for revocation or attenuation of the precautionary measures.
Reasons that will be useful above all to understand whether the question of the alleged territorial incompetence (the prosecutor's office of Vallo della Lucania instead of that of Salerno, as requested by the defense) has been addressed and in what terms by the Supreme Court.
