Talented drummer Ramon Montagner, internationally acclaimed for his unique approach to instrumental music, recently received the prestigious VIOLA SMITH AWARD from Drumeo. This award, considered one of the Oscars of the drumming world, marks another important milestone in the musician's career.
Masterclass in Naples
Montagner will hold an exclusive masterclass in Naples, on April 6, 2025, at Bourbon Street in Via Vincenzo Bellini. The event is aimed at musicians and enthusiasts, offering the opportunity to learn from his years of experience and his innovative approach to the drums.
Tours and Collaborations
During his stay in Italy, Montagner will take part in a tour with the Cappuccio Collective Smooth, a Campania project led by guitarist Mimmo Cappuccio. On the evening of April 6, at 22:00 p.m., he will perform at the Neapolitan jazz club, combining his talent with that of the collective and bassist Dario Deidda.
Career and Discography
Montagner’s rich career, which began at just 12 years old, is marked by constant sonic experimentation. Between 1992 and 2006, he collaborated with singer-songwriter Johnny Alf and drummer Alexandre Cunha in the innovative project “Brazilian Duet – Ultrapassando Limites”. In 2000, the release of his solo album “Boyya” featured artists such as Hermeto Paschoal. Later, in 2006, he released “SAMBASÓ”, continuing to make significant contributions to music education through international workshops and educational resources.
