The extraordinary checks by the Naples Police Headquarters continue to combat drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
Yesterday afternoon, the State Police arrested two brothers in the Don Guanella district, in via Labriola: a 44-year-old, already known to the police, for illegal possession of a firearm, and a 22-year-old, with specific criminal records, for drug dealing.
The operation was conducted by the Falcons of the Flying Squad, who carried out a search inside the two's home. At the time of the raid, the 44-year-old attempted to extract an object from his pocket, but was immediately stopped: he had a gun on him revolver 38 special caliber, with a cartridge in the cylinder, as well as 820 euros in cash divided into banknotes of various denominations.
The 22-year-old, however, was found in possession of 650 euros and a set of keys that led the officers to a cellar in the same building. Here, the police found a block of hashish weighing about 100 grams and two precision scales, tools commonly used for packaging drugs.
Both arrested were taken to the police station and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
