They shot at the camera of a jewelry store, perhaps for fun, but their action triggered immediate investigations: two 14-year-olds from the area, both with no criminal record, were reported by the police for damage after having hit the video surveillance system of a commercial business with an air pistol.
The episode dates back to March 17, when the owner of the jewelry store on Via Plinio went to the local police station to report the damage to the external camera. The initial suspicion was that the act could be a signal for an attempted theft or an intimidation for extortion purposes. For this reason, the military immediately began investigations, analyzing the images recorded by the security system.
The footage revealed a different reality: two young men, with their faces covered and riding a scooter, stopped in front of the jewelry store and took aim. They fired several shots with an air pistol, hitting and damaging the camera. 16 pellets were found on the spot.
The identification of the two teenagers led the Carabinieri to carry out searches in their homes. In one of the houses, a spring gun with a red cap, two magazines and 101 pellets were found and seized. The two minors will now have to answer to the charge of damage.
