Santa Maria Capua Vetere – Olga Kharin, 46, a Ukrainian citizen who has been living in Santa Maria Capua Vetere for years, has been sent to trial. The request for a summons to trial is signed by the Public Prosecutor of the Sammaritan Prosecutor's Office, Dr. Albenzio Ricciardiello.
The woman, who is a well-known beautician, is accused of aggravated damage for vandalizing the car of her current partner's ex-wife, an episode that shook the quiet hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Formis.
The facts date back to January of last year, when Kharin, moved by a fit of jealousy, allegedly hit the vehicle with a plaster statuette depicting the Madonna, and then threw a stone at it. The result? The rear window of the car, parked along the road outside the home and therefore exposed to public faith, shattered.
The victim, identified with the initials CR, filed a formal complaint against the accused. The investigations, coordinated by the Carabinieri of Capua on behalf of the magistrate, left no room for doubt: the videos recorded with a cell phone, which immortalize Kharin while committing the act of vandalism, proved to be decisive.
Corroborating the reconstruction are the testimonies collected, including that of the ex-husband of the injured party, who reported having noticed pieces of glass near the damaged vehicle.
CR, assisted by lawyers Gaetano and Raffaele Crisileo, filed a civil action during the hearing held before Judge Valerio Riello of the Third Criminal Section. Now Olga Kharin will have to face trial, with the charges hanging over her and a story that seems destined to be discussed again in the local community.

This is a very strange case and makes you think about people's behavior. Jealousy can lead to unexpected reactions. I hope that justice will take its course and that there will be consequences for the actions taken.
It's a complicated situation and I wonder how it's possible that a person can do such an extreme gesture. Jealousy can lead to extravagant reactions, but damaging the car is never a correct solution. I'm waiting to hear how it ends.
It is strange that a person like Olga Kharin, who works as a beautician, can do such a violent act. People should solve their problems in a more civilized way instead of damaging other people's things.
It's incredible how some people can get to the point of damaging other people's things for such stupid reasons, jealousy is a nasty beast and this case is proof of it. I hope there is justice.
This episode shows how important it is to control one's emotions and not give in to violent reactions, but I wonder if there were attempts at mediation before getting to this point.
This case is very strange, I don't understand how a person can react in this way out of jealousy. Of course, feelings can be strong but damaging a car is not the right solution. The law must take its course.
I honestly don't understand why people damage a car in this way, it would be better to talk about it and solve the problems instead of resorting to violence. The community should unite to prevent such acts.
