Yesterday afternoon, the Police State police arrested two 19-year-old Neapolitans with criminal records for assault, threats and resisting a public official; one of them was also reported for driving without a license since it had been repeated in the two-year period.
In particular, the officers of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, during the territorial control service, while passing through via Attilio Micheluzzi, noticed two individuals on board a car proceeding at high speed, whose driver, at the sight of them, accelerated to evade the control.
A chase ensued, until, after hitting a parked car, the two young men attempted to flee on foot but were caught and, with no small difficulty, stopped; the suspects also began to swear at the officers and, once safely inside the service car, began to violently kick the windows and the rear safety partition of the vehicle.
The suspects were accompanied to the police station but, once there, not satisfied with their conduct up to that point, they attacked the officers who, not without difficulty and after a struggle, secured them.
For these reasons, the suspects were arrested by the operating personnel.

Yesterday's news about the arrests is very serious and makes us reflect on the youth situation in Naples. It is important that there are more frequent checks to prevent similar events. Violence must not be tolerated, but the police must also act with caution.
