Salerno – Another attack on staff working in local public transport. Today, around 7am, two ticket inspectors were attacked on board a bus of the Sita departing from Naples and headed to Salerno.

Diego Corace, provincial secretary of Salerno for Fit-Cisl, reported the incident, explaining that the attacker, who did not have a travel ticket, pushed and hit the two inspectors in order to get on board to reach Salerno.
“We firmly condemn any form of violence against our staff,” Corace stressed, “and we reiterate our commitment to the safety of all travellers and on-board staff.”

It is really sad to see that there are still people who do not respect the rules and attack the staff. Safety in public transport should be a priority for everyone. Let's hope that situations like this do not happen again.
