PIMONTE – The Carabinieri of the Pimonte Station have executed a preventive seizure order on a property, by order of the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata Court, accepting the request of the Oplontina Prosecutor's Office.
The injunction was issued against a 72-year-old local man, who was seriously suspected of arbitrary exercise of his rights, embezzlement, and invasion of land or buildings.

However, since 2010 the man allegedly occupied the house illegally, without ever taking legal action to assert any property rights. Furthermore, he allegedly damaged the padlocks installed by the legitimate owners, replacing them with others to prevent access. Not only that: the suspect also allegedly sold the antique furniture in the house, even though it was not his property, taking advantage of the elderly woman's difficulties.
Now, with the execution of the preventive seizure, the Carabinieri have placed seals on the property and entrusted judicial custody to the legitimate owner. The case had already been at the center of a journalistic investigation by the program Out of the core, aired on Rete 4 on December 20, 2023 and January 3, 2024.
