The Carabinieri of the Serino Forestry Unit and the local Station have reported an entrepreneur at liberty solofra for serious violations in waste management.
The man, a 50-year-old local, owner of a company operating in the storage and warehousing of semi-finished leather on behalf of third parties, had a quantity of waste exceeding the permitted limit of 30 cubic meters, without providing for its disposal on a quarterly basis.
Furthermore, the owner was unable to provide documentation certifying the correct management of the waste produced. Following the investigation, the military carried out the preventive seizure of approximately 300 cubic meters of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, stored inside the warehouse under inspection, including textile waste, WEEE, plastic packaging and processing waste.
The operation is part of the environmental monitoring campaign against pollution of the Sarno River Basin aimed at combating illegal conduct that puts the environment and public health at risk.
