Schools open today in the municipality of Bacoli, affected by the earthquake of magnitude 4.4 verified in the Campi Flegrei at 1.25 with epicenter on the seafront of Pozzuoli.
"It was a difficult night, but we are not giving up an inch. We have finished the checks in the schools of Bacoli and the results are positive, no damage", confirms the mayor of Bacoli Josi Gerardo Della Ragione, who during the night personally participated in the checks in the school buildings of the territory.
“We will allow our children to attend classes, giving parents the certainty of leaving their children in controlled places”, adds Della Ragione who thanks “the Municipal Technical Office and the Municipal Police for the checks carried out in the middle of the night, despite the rain. Opening schools, where possible, is a very important act to continue to live carefully with bradyseism”.
During the night the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, visited the Municipal Operations Center of Bacoli together with the regional commander of the Fire Department to take stock of the situation. "After the earthquake, in Bacoli, there was no damage to property or people. And it is an important starting point", concludes Della Ragione.

It's good that schools are open, but I don't understand if it's safe. The mayor says there is no damage, but people are scared. Let's hope that the checks were done well and that the kids can study in peace.
