An operational protocol to be observed in schools in the red zone Campi Flegrei in the event of a seismic swarm. The document was signed today at the prefecture of Naples, in order to define some actions, including the closure of the institutes.
“This protocol essentially establishes some phases in which, when an event occurs, it stabilizes and systematizes once and for all the various phases that must rationally lead to the closure of schools, with a dialogue that goes from the school principal, to the mayor, to the technical bodies,” explains the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari.
The main goal is to ensure school continuity, "that is, where an attitude is necessary, a closure measure will be taken; where it is not deemed necessary, it will not be done, but on the basis of a scientific determination that will be widely evaluated by the bodies involved".
The document was signed by the Municipalities of Naples, Monte di Procida, Bacoli, Pozzuoli. In the meantime, checks and inspections continue also in schools, after the magnitude 4.4 shock last night.
