Cesa – A serious traffic accident occurred overnight in Cesa , in the province of Caserta, where a 30-year-old man lost his life after crashing his car into a concrete Enel utility pole. The victim, identified as Emidio Monterosso, a resident of Sant'Arpino, was driving on the bridge connecting Cesa to Aversa when he lost control of his vehicle.
The Carabinieri immediately intervened at the scene of the accident, starting investigations to clarify the dynamics of the crash, and the firefighters, engaged in rescue operations. Shortly after, the municipal technicians also arrived to secure the concrete pole, which was seriously damaged and at risk of collapse.
The mayor of Cesa, Enzo Guida, expressed his condolences to the victim's family and to the community of Sant'Arpino, deeply affected by the tragedy. He also specified that the road where the accident occurred was recently redeveloped with municipal funds, an intervention that involved the resurfacing of the asphalt, public lighting and road signs.
Authorities are now working to reconstruct the causes of the accident, while the community grieves over the young man's death.
