The young man, who had left Pagani with his friends to visit Malaga , began to experience flu-like symptoms , which, within a few days, worsened to the point of requiring hospitalization. A high fever and increasingly complex medical condition prompted his parents to join him in the Andalusian city. Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon, his heart stopped beating.
According to initial information, the cause of death may have been myocarditis , an inflammation of the heart muscle which, in the most serious cases, can lead to heart failure and sudden death.
Davide's body is now in the Malaga hospital morgue , awaiting repatriation. Meanwhile, his companions will return to Italy, marked by an experience that has taken on the character of a nightmare.
The Pagani community is in shock: teachers, friends, and relatives mourn the loss of a young man in the prime of life, torn from his dreams on a journey that should have brought him only joy.
