Juve Stabia imposes itself with authority on Modena, gaining three fundamental points that virtually close the salvation issue. The decisive striker Candellone, author of a brace that knocks out the guests and gives the yellow and blue fans an evening to frame.
The home team started strong and unlocked the match in the 10th minute of the first half: a precise through ball from Peda found Candellone, who coolly beat Gagno as he came out to make it 1-0.
Modena struggled to react, showing a sterile territorial supremacy and rarely managing to worry a practically inactive Thiam.
In the second half, the Juve Stabia he is not satisfied and in the 22nd minute of the second half he finds the double. Candellone is once again in evidence: served by a millimetric pass from Ruggero, the attacker controls and unleashes a curling right-footed shot that leaves the opposing goalkeeper with no chance.
The 2-0 seemed to close the game, but referee Massimi took centre stage and after having whistled one-way in favour of the away team throughout the match, in the 30th minute of the second half he awarded a penalty tainted by a foul on Rocchetti by attacker Vulikic.
The referee says he saw everything and doesn't feel the need to review the action with the VAR. From the penalty spot, the Neapolitan Palumbo puts it in the corner to the right of Thiam who almost reaches it.
Despite the goal conceded, Juve Stabia holds firm and takes home a significant victory, which projects them towards safety in the standings. Then it's party time in the stands with mister Pagliuca loudly called to celebrate under the curve with the whole team

Juve Stabia did well but Modena didn't do much, it was a bit of a monotonous match. Candellone scored two goals, which is good, but I was hoping Modena would react but they didn't make it.
I watched the game and I think that Modena should have been more aggressive in the second half. They were not able to take advantage of the opportunities. Juve Stabia deserves the points but I expect an improvement.
