The news, reported by the American media, was welcomed with great satisfaction by the former president Donald Trump, who praised the work of the police forces.
The Arrest in Virginia
The alleged leader of MS-13, a 24 year old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was stopped at Dale City, Virginia. According to the authorities, it would be one of the three most important bosses of the gang in the United States and is the main responsible for illicit trafficking on the East Coast.
The operation was confirmed by the director of theFBI Cash Patel in a joint press conference with the Attorney General Pam Bondi and Governor of Virginia. “We arrested one of the key leaders of MS-13 this morning”, Patel declared, while Bondi underlined the dangerousness of the criminal: “He is associated with very violent crimes and should not have been in our country. He was recruited at a very young age in El Salvador”.
Trump: “Great Victory for Americans”
Former President Trump celebrated arrest on Social Truth, thanking the national security leaders, including Pam Bondi, Tom Homan (Immigration Officer) e Kristi Noem (Homeland Security Secretary). “Great work, a great achievement”, wrote Trump, reiterating the need for tougher policies against illegal immigration.
Even the White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, defined the operation “a great victory for the Americans”The name of the arrested person has not been released for security reasons.
