The operation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old, caught riding a scooter the wrong way on Via Belvedere. After a chase, the police searched him and found 10 grams of marijuana, about 5 grams of hashish and 180 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The search extended to his home allowed the recovery of an additional 62 grams of hashish and 16 of marijuana. The first investigations revealed that the young man managed the deliveries via messaging app, bringing the doses directly to his home. He is now under house arrest.

During the evening, the Carabinieri also stopped three minors armed with knives in the Piazza Vanvitelli subway station, identifying them thanks to checks with metal detectors. The young people were reported.

SANCTIONS IN THE PREMISES AND UNDECEALED WORK

Commercial activities were also targeted by the checks. An illegal parking attendant and the owner of a restaurant were reported: the latter for theft of electricity, since the premises were illegally connected to the national grid without going through the meter.

Six businesses were inspected: four received fines for irregularities in the registration of tax receipts, while another suffered suspension of activity for violations related to noise pollution.

The Labor Inspectorate carried out checks in four businesses, detecting illegal workers in two bars. The owners were suspended from business and given an administrative sanction.

The ASL also conducted checks in twelve premises, finding serious hygiene and health deficiencies in five of them and imposing requirements for the restoration of the conditions required by HACCP regulations.

VIOLATIONS OF THE HIGHWAY CODE

During the operation, the Carabinieri issued 32 fines for violations of the Highway Code, including driving without a seatbelt, using a cell phone while driving, and parking. One of the violations resulted in the withdrawal of the license.

The control activity will continue in the coming days to ensure greater safety in the neighborhood.
