Santa Maria Capua Vetere – A 41-year-old entrepreneur from Airola, arrested by the Caserta Police on charges of resisting, violence, threats and injury to a public official, as well as illegal possession of a weapon, has been released from prison.
The decision was made by the Sole Judge of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, who accepted the requests presented by the lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Cosimo Servodio.
The man had been placed under house arrest following an intervention by the police, during which he allegedly violently resisted a document check, causing injuries to two police officers, which were reported in hospital.
Furthermore, the businessman was accused of threatening to kill the officers and of attempting to pull out a 14-centimeter knife. Once taken to the police station, he allegedly resisted further and damaged the offices.
However, yesterday afternoon, the judge ordered his release, applying as a residual obligation to report to the Judicial Police.

The judge's decision seems strange to me, it is not possible that a person who has done so many serious things can be released so quickly. I believe that public safety must be a priority and the threats made to the agents cannot be underestimated.
