The alarm, raised thanks to the promptness of some passers-by, brought the Carabinieri and local police forces to the scene. After an intense search, the man was located about 400 meters away, dragged by the current.
In an operation as rapid as it was courageous, the rescuers formed a human chain, managing to save him. The 118 personnel intervened on the spot, providing first aid.
Fortunately, the man's conditions are not serious. An episode that kept the community in suspense, but which ended with a happy ending thanks to the timeliness and courage of the rescuers.
