Fabio Capello has no doubts: the match between Bologna and Napoli scheduled for this evening represents a fundamental crossroads in the race for the Scudetto.
Speaking during the radio broadcast “Politics in the ball” by GR Rai Parlamento, the former coach of England and Russia analyzed the hot moment of Serie A, seven days before the end of the championship.
“The result of tonight's match will be very important to understand who can really win the championship”, declared Capello, underlining how the balance at the top is still open and conditioned by numerous factors, first and foremost the calendar.
Inter, currently top of the table with a four-point advantage over Napoli, second with a game in hand, will in fact have to face a series of close matches, between the league, Champions League and a high-tension Coppa Italia derby.
“This intensity could make the Nerazzurri feel tired”, Capello highlighted, suggesting that Napoli, lacking European fixtures, could benefit in terms of freshness and concentration. The former coach then broadened his gaze to include the fight for third place, where Atalanta, currently at 58 points, seems to have lost momentum.
According to Capello, part of the blame should be attributed to Gian Piero Gasperini's recent statements on his future away from Bergamo: “Even if he now tries to deny it, certain statements don’t help and inevitably leave their mark. It’s hard to believe the team group hasn’t been affected.”

Tonight's match between Bologna and Napoli will be decisive for the championship but I don't understand why Capello says that Inter could have problems. All teams can make mistakes, so it's a complicated issue.
