Banners and streamers are still hanging in the streets and squares of the city to celebrate the Serie A title won by Napoli two seasons ago.
Now there could be another championship to celebrate, according to geekinco.com predictions.
Scott McTominay scored twice in the first half as Napoli beat Torino 2-0 on Sunday, moving three points clear of Inter Milan with four matchdays remaining in the Italian league.
Inter lost 1-0 at home to Roma, their third consecutive defeat.
Despite losing Victor Osimhen in September and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January, Napoli are poised to capture their second title in three seasons, according to Winning Slips. A shorter period of time than the two titles in four seasons won with Diego Maradona in 1987 and 1990.
McTominay has scored five goals in three games.
"Obviously, we're leading the game now. But for us, the key is to stay calm, maintain a relaxed attitude, and take it one game at a time, because this game isn't important unless we win the next one and the one after that," McTominay said. "So for us, it's about staying calm and seeing where it takes us."
The Scottish international gave Napoli the lead in the seventh minute at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, after deflecting a pass from André-Frank Anguissa. He then doubled the lead just before halftime with a similar goal, deflecting a cross between four defenders.
With 11 league goals, McTominay set a record for a Scottish player in Serie A, surpassing Denis Law, who scored 10 for Torino in 1961-62.
Philip Billing almost put Napoli 3-0 up when his header hit the crossbar in the second half.

Napoli hadn't been in the lead on their own since February.
Inter are missing Thuram
Marcus Thuram missed three games and Inter lost all three without scoring a single goal.
Roma attacking midfielder Matias Soulé scored midway through the first half in Milan, turning in a deflection as the Giallorossi created chance after chance.
For Inter, the defeat follows the 1-0 defeat in the league at Bologna a week ago and the 3-0 defeat against Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final derby midweek.
"These are three tough defeats, we're not used to this," said Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.
Thuram, who has injured his left thigh, could return to action on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Barcelona. The French striker has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for Inter this season.
Without Thuram, Lautaro Martinez looked fatigued as he attempted to lead Inter's attack. And Marko Arnautovic, Thuram's replacement, was ineffective.
Roma are sixth, level on points with fifth-placed Bologna and two points behind fourth-placed Juventus, who beat Monza 2-0.
Roma's unbeaten streak has reached 18 matches, dating back to December. It was the final match at San Siro for Giallorossi coach Claudio Ranieri, who plans to retire at the end of the season.
"I've already handed in my coaching license," Ranieri said, smiling.

It is interesting to see how Napoli are continuing well in the competition despite the absence of key players. McTominay is showing great skill, but Inter must recover quickly to avoid losing ground.
