Naples – After 17 years on the run, drug trafficker Haxhiu Bardhyl, 57, was captured in Albania and sentenced to 24 years in prison for his role in an organization dedicated to international heroin trafficking between Albania and Campania.

According to the investigations, the man was the main contact for the importation of heroin into Italy, managing loads of over 130 kilograms. His gang operated between the provinces of Naples and Caserta, in collaboration with Italian accomplices.
