Antonio Conte does not hide. On the eve of the Napoli-Empoli match, the Italian coach returns to speak with the energy and clarity that distinguish him: “Can you get 21 points in seven games? I left in August to win them all. I know it won’t happen, but that’s my spirit.”
Clear, direct words, from a leader who knows that the finish line is there, within reach, but it must be fought for, inch by inch. Inter has already won and is now six points away, but Conte is not intimidated. On the contrary: “The pressure? It’s a great war of nerves. If we are here playing for the title it’s because we earned it. We worked seriously, overcoming obstacles, injuries, disqualifications, without ever looking for excuses”.
The technician also dwells on the pitfalls of the calendar: "We face teams with other objectives, like Empoli who are playing for survival. It's a more strategic phase of the championship, where even one point can change everything. There are no easy matches." Finally, he responds to criticisms of the subdued second half: “If it were really a problem, with Juventus, Inter and Atalanta we would not have collected anything. It's a question of management, of the desire of the opponents. But the boys know well that you have to fight until the last minute".

Conte's words are interesting but I wonder if it's really that simple to get 21 points in seven games. Every game is different and Empoli will not be easy to face, even if the coach seems confident.
