Naples - A peaceful religious procession turned into an explosion of violence last night in Naples.
During the celebration of the Madonna dell'Arco in via Tappia, a fight between women quickly degenerated, culminating in a shooting that spread panic among the faithful.
According to initial reconstructions by the State Police, who intervened on the scene with agents from the Vicaria police station, a man on board a car opened fire on the crowd, hitting two people: a 23-year-old and a 31-year-old man.
Fortunately, both the injured were not in serious condition and were hospitalized at the Ospedale del Mare and the Vecchio Pellegrini respectively.
Law enforcement is now working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident and identify the person responsible for the shooting. The episode has deeply shocked the local community, which is questioning the reasons for such an act of violence during a religious demonstration.
