The project for the new hospital was presented in Naples Santobono, an 85 thousand square meter structure that will be built in the eastern area of the city, a short distance from the Ospedale del Mare.

An urban redevelopment project
The hospital will not only be a place of care, but also a driving force for the revitalization of the eastern area of Naples. The project includes the creation of a green oasis open to the public, with urban gardens and educational spaces.
Work expected to start in autumn
The governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, has announced that work on the new Santobono will begin in the fall. This is a central project for the largest and most qualified pediatric center in Italy.
Santobono Hospital seems to be a very ambitious and interesting project, but I wonder if the deadlines will be respected. It is important that the quality of care is actually high and not just a promise.
