In the prestigious Sannazaro theater, starting from Friday 4 April at 21:00 pm, the show “Assolo per due Bubù Babà Bebè” will be performed, directed by Lamberto Lambertini. The production is the result of the collaboration between Tradizione e Turismo – Centro di produzione teatrale – Teatro Sannazaro and Ag Spettacoli.
A Theatrical Journey
The protagonists of the opera will be Peppe Barra, flanked by Lalla Esposito, accompanied by Francesco Manco on clarinet, Agostino Oliviero on mandolin and violin, and Antonio Ottaviano on piano. The musical arrangements are by Giorgio Mellone, while Francesco Esposito plays the role of assistant director.
Director's Notes
The show takes inspiration from the surreal song “**Bubù Babà Bebé**”, a nursery rhyme by Rodolfo De Angelis, a Neapolitan artist from the 1930s. The performance aims to explore twentieth-century theatre, crossing multiple artistic forms, from comedies to tragedies, with the aim of capturing the soul and style of that era. The actors are immersed in a scenic environment surrounded by fiery red velvet walls, in a continuous and dynamic passage between texts and interpretations. Between sketches, songs and monologues, the audience is involved in a breathless journey, emphasizing the transformative power of acting. **(Lamberto Lambertini).**

The show looks interesting but I'm not sure if I'll go see it, it depends on the price of the ticket and also on my availability. I hope it's a unique experience as they say, but I don't know.
