Pomigliano – Major operation of the Local Police in city markets to combat food adulteration and undeclared work.
The agents, led by Colonel Emiliano Nacar, carried out checks on various commercial activities, seizing approximately 200 kg of unauthorized dairy products and cured meats, intended for sale without respecting health regulations.
The goods were destroyed and the trader was fined 5.000 euros.
The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Coast Guard, also led to the seizure of 50 kg of untraceable fish products, with related fines of 3.000 euros. During the checks, the Labor Inspectorate staff identified six workers employed illegally, issuing a further 10.000 euros in fines.
The control activities, coordinated in the field by Second Lieutenant D'Ambrosio, also led to the removal of four vehicles and the issuing of two fines for illegal occupation of public land.
The checks will continue in the coming days, with particular attention also to the irregular disposal of waste in market areas, where - the Command reports - new sanctions are already foreseen for those who do not respect environmental regulations.
