Qualiano – A morning dedicated to legality and civic education was experienced by the students of the “Rione Principe” primary school in Qualiano, who had the opportunity to meet the Carabinieri of the Giugliano Company and the Qualiano Station.
The event is part of the awareness program promoted by the Carabinieri in schools, aimed at spreading the value of respecting the rules and civil coexistence among the youngest. During the meeting, the military illustrated to the young students the role of the Carabinieri in society, explaining in simple but effective words the daily activities carried out to guarantee security and justice.
Many curious questions were asked by the children, who listened attentively to the stories of the Carabinieri, discovering the world of law enforcement and their commitment to the community. Making the meeting even more special was the presence of the Carabinieri Dog Unit of Sarno, which allowed the children to get to know one of the most fascinating figures among the Carabinieri's collaborators: the drug-sniffing dog.
The star of the day was Luna, a beautiful 7-year-old Belgian Malinois, trained to search for narcotics. With her energy and her infallible nose, Luna won over the students, who were able to witness a demonstration of her incredible skills. The children's enthusiasm transformed into a tangible thank you: at the end of the meeting, the students donated colorful drawings to the Carabinieri, expressing their appreciation for this unforgettable experience through art.

The meeting with the Carabinieri was a good opportunity for the children to learn the rules of society, but I didn't really understand how the work of drug-sniffing dogs works, it would have been useful to have more details.
I also really enjoyed the event, but I think there should have been more explanations about the various roles of law enforcement, it is important for children to understand these concepts better.
