Somma Vesuviana – An explosion shattered the silence of the night at a car dealership at number 71 of Via Circonvallazione. Six cars on display were completely devoured by the fire along with the entrance area of the business.
The intervention of the Fire Department was providential, putting out the fire before it could cause even more serious damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The causes of the disaster are still shrouded in mystery. The Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna will shed light on the incident, already working to reconstruct the dynamics and, if they exist, any responsibilities.
The owner of the dealership was interviewed at the preliminary hearing and reported that he had never received threats or extortion requests. The investigators are following the Easter racket trail with particular attention.
