The Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples is preparing for a week full of unique events with two events that promise to mix culture and fun. On Friday, April 4 at 19:30 p.m., the British company The Play Group will present “Macbeth for Kids,” an English-language interpretation of Shakespeare’s famous drama.
An Unedited Macbeth for Young People
This production stands out for its interactive approach and humorous tone, created specifically for an audience of 8 years and older. Directed by Enzo Musicò and lit by Tommaso Vitiello, the performance is designed to be accessible even to those who are taking their first steps in learning the English language. **”The adaptation of the original text allows those in the audience who are new to the English language to easily follow the plot, while the original extracts from the play offer the more experienced an authentic taste of Shakespeare's genius”** is what the company says. An opportunity to make the theatrical classic approachable and fun for young spectators.
Music for the little ones
Sunday, April 6 will be the turn of “Musiche per l'Infanzia,” part of the Sonora project, which will begin at 11 a.m. This musical event includes interactive workshops inspired by the theories of pedagogue EE Gordon, using percussion instruments to engage children in an educational and playful experience. Eugenio Ottieri described the event as **”a workshop and a concert at the same time, with musical proposals so varied and stimulating as to constitute a complete playful and educational experience”**. Dedicated to families and children, this event is promoted by Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole, in synergy with I Teatrini, Progetto Sonora and the Municipality of Naples.
