Francesco Totti breaks the silence and speaks without filters to the microphones of Match Tv, on the occasion of an event promoted by Bookmaker Ratings: an interview in which the former Giallorossi captain spoke about his farewell to football, the void left by his retirement and how life, off the pitch and without Ilary Blasi, is anything but simple.
“The farewell game of 2017 was incredible. A day all for me, but also the beginning of the end. When I put the shirt back on for the last time, in the dressing room it was impossible to contain the emotion”. The dream of a more peaceful life was soon shattered: “I thought that once I stopped, everything would be calmer. But no. At certain moments it was even worse. Before I identified totally with Roma, now not anymore”.
A huge emotional transition, followed by a brief stint as a manager and a new daily life under construction. “When I played I had no private life. Now I try to live for myself” - has explained - “I have done many things, but nothing compares to what I have left behind.”

Totti's interview was interesting and thought-provoking. It's strange to think that after such a long career, he now feels lost. I don't think it's easy for anyone to abandon a passion like football, and he proves it.
