Afragola– The brutal murder of Martina Carbonaro , the 14-year-old killed by her ex-boyfriend Alessio Tucci , 19, continues to bring to light disturbing details.

While the community is still in shock, the North Naples Prosecutor's Office is evaluating whether to charge Alessio Tucci with the aggravating circumstance of premeditation , in addition to that of cruelty.

The question of premeditation is a strong one, especially after Martina's mother's revelations regarding a slap Tucci allegedly gave the teenager a few weeks earlier, an incident that prompted Martina to decide to end the relationship. However, the prosecutor of Northern Naples, Anna Maria Lucchetta , has maintained a tight investigation.

The suspicion of premeditation and the silence of the investigations

“There are investigations underway,” he specified to journalists. “I did not want to talk about the witness statements and developments. There is investigative secrecy here, also because there is a whole issue of fingerprints and the autopsy that will be decisive.” The assignment of the task to the autopsy expert is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 3.

During the press conference, which was also attended by the provincial commander of the Carabinieri of Naples, Biagio Storniolo , the prosecutor retraced the intense investigative activity that began following the report of the 14-year-old's disappearance in Afragola on May 26.

The investigators arrived almost immediately at the Moccia stadium, thanks to the analysis of the telephone cells that indicated the last location of the girl's cell phone in that area. The city's video surveillance cameras also provided convergent indications.

The reconstruction of horror: from darkness to confession

Despite the vast size of the area, the inspection of the stadium soon revealed the tragedy: the discovery of Martina's glasses inside the former house of the stadium caretaker confirmed the darkest fears. The girl's body had been hidden under a mountain of rubbish, and her phone turned off and hidden in a cavity.

The Prosecutor's Office emphasized that Tucci 's confession came only after he was cornered, when prosecutors showed him videos of him and Martina walking towards the Moccia Stadium.

The Murderer's Tale and the Confirmed Cruelty

Regarding the moment of the murder, Alessio Tucci gave his version during the interrogation to validate the arrest in the Naples-Poggioreale prison: “She refused my hug and when she turned around I hit her while she was facing away with a stone that I found on the ground”.

Prosecutor Lucchetta reiterated: “Do not ask how many stone throws were given and where she was hit because only the autopsy will establish this, but I can say that Alessio Tucci acted with cruelty”. Therefore, cruelty is already contested as an aggravating factor, as is the interrupted emotional relationship.

The Appeal of the Institutions: Educate to Love and Not to Possession

"The young age of both her and him. This story reminded me of the rape in Caivano that took place two years ago. On that occasion too, the victims were minors and the perpetrators were minors and very young", declared the prosecutor, touched by the story.

Lucchetta's invitation is clear: "We welcome all the regulatory provisions to prevent and repress these crimes, but in light of what is happening we need to implement initiatives upstream at a social level, in schools, in families. Each of us must educate our children about what love is. Loving means acceptance and not possession".

The provincial commander of the Arma, Storniolo, praised the commitment and the concerted effort of the investigative forces: "We owed it to Martina, to serious facts like this, and to the population". A commitment that continues to shed full light on a tragedy that questions the entire society.
