Acciaroli – The Acciaroli Coast Guard has seized a metal structure measuring approximately 120 square meters in the city's port for illegal occupation of state maritime property.

The operation was triggered following an inspection conducted last May 12 by the military of the Local Maritime Office, with the support of municipal technicians. During the inspection, it emerged that the work, located beyond the wave wall of the outer breakwater, did not have authorizations. Construction material present in an adjacent area of 49 square meters was also seized.

One person was reported to the judicial authorities for the violations found. During the control activity, the military also fined some companies engaged in cleaning the beaches with excavators. Despite having municipal authorizations, the companies had not communicated the activity to the Maritime Authority, as required by an ordinance, incurring a fine of about one thousand euros.

The intervention is part of the Coast Guard's surveillance activities for the protection of maritime state property, intensified during the summer season. We remind you that, for emergencies at sea, the toll-free number 24 is active 24 hours a day.
