The young Genoese prodigy Iaco is shaking up the music world with “Balla fra”, an urban pop anthem that doesn’t mince its words: even after the fiercest storm, the calm always returns, and woe betide anyone who gives up!
Contents
This song is not for the faint of heart, but for those who dance in the face of misfortune, chasing dreams with the grit of a bulldozer, in an era where everyone cries poverty but few act.
An Invitation Not to Give Up
The song is a punch in the stomach, a raw call to resilience in dark times, where the strength of those who do not give in is celebrated. As the lyrics in “To destroy everything takes a second / live that life does not give discounts / this karma turns while the world turns”, Iaco captures the essence of a life without discounts, where karma turns like a crazy carousel and only the determined win the ticket.
The carreer
Behind iaco hides Iacopo, a boy from Genoa born in 2010 who has lived and breathed music since he was little. At just six years old, he won third place at the Zecchino d'Oro 2016 with “Pikku Peikko”, before diving into a whirlwind of musicals like A Christmas Carol and Freak, treading Italian theaters and lending his voice to Prince William in the fifth season of The Crown on Netflix. Now, in 2023, he has returned to his roots with music, writing songs that speak straight to the heart of a generation tired but hungry for the future. After his debut with “Solo Noi Due” under the wing of Sorry Mom!, “Balla fra” marks another bold move in his career, combining raw talent, bold authenticity and a message that does not leave anyone indifferent.

The song by iaco is really interesting and has a strong message. But I'm not sure if the text is as deep as they say, maybe it lacks a bit of originality in some parts. Anyway it deserves attention.
