Benevento – A man originally from Naples has been identified and reported by the Carabinieri of the Amorosi Station, believed to be responsible for a series of night-time thefts to the detriment of commercial businesses in the centre of Benevento.
The investigation, launched following repeated complaints filed by the owners of the affected businesses, allowed the military to reconstruct the criminal's modus operandi: he operated at night and targeted cash registers, from which he stole money.
The video surveillance images and the cross-referencing of other investigative elements were decisive for the identification.
The man, already known to the police, was reported at large for aggravated theft. Investigations are continuing to verify any further incidents attributable to him.

It is interesting that the investigations were started after the complaints of the owners, but I do not understand why it took so long to identify the person responsible for the thefts in the center of Benevento.
